UWVC brought baskets with toys and goodies as well as handmade cards for soldiers on base. The young children enjoyed hugs with Elmo. UWVC gave each child a small flag and they promptly recited the Pledge of Allegiance! A wonderful time was had by all! .
Ms Mora said:
“I would like to thank the United War Veterans Council and Sesame Street for making this visit possible. Our children, families and staff truly enjoyed the visit and the children are extra excited about the goodies we received in each basket. We always look forward to participating in activities with the UWVC, they always know just how to brighten our day.”
